Challenge GivBlod wanted to create visibility and activate their target group on social media with a campaign to thank the voluntary blood donors.
Solution In collaboration with GivBlod, a campaign strategy was developed, the message of which was: "The joy of giving". The campaign aimed to:
– To reward the followers on Facebook with a competition
- To give followers a reason to keep following GivBlod's Facebook page
– To inform about four themes in relation to donating blood
– To give/share personal stories at Christmas time
– To attract new followers
The campaign consisted of four videos, each of which was shown every Sunday in Advent with an associated competition, where the following had to either answer a question or tell their own story.
1st video: Get answers to whether you can receive blood no matter where you are in the world. Christian was assaulted in Brazil, where he was cut in the throat and therefore urgently needed blood transfusions.
Result: Range 27,750. Total reactions 245. Comments 41. Shares 45.
2nd video: In Denmark, the medical helicopter, as the only emergency unit, can give blood directly at the scene of the accident.

3rd video: Watch the touching story of Ella, who was diagnosed with leukemia when she was 9 months old. During her chemo treatments, she needed blood transfusions.

4th video: Mette needed blood when she gave birth to her daughter. Watch her surprise two blood donors with the same blood type as herself.
